This is a popular Middle Eastern dessert and it’s not hard to see why.
It’s made in a flash -– actually at the table at some restaurants –- and is a lovely end to a meal. It’s equally good, however, as a healthy snack or breakfast dish, too.
How simple is it? Well, you just spoon ricotta cheese into a serving bowl, drizzle over some honey and garnish with crushed pistachios.

Notes: the ingredients below are enough for one person so simply double, triple or quadruple the quantities to serve the required number of guests. This recipe can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until required. Just be sure to take it out 10-15 minutes before serving so it has time to get back to room temperature.

- 100 grams ricotta cheese
- 30mls floral honey
- 8 pistachios cut into pieces with a heavy knife
- Spoon ricotta into a serving bowl.
- Drizzle over honey.
- Garnish with pistachios.
