Celebrate with a bubbly Champagne cocktail.

There are several variations on the classic cocktail, but my favorite consists Champagne poured over a sugar cube, soaked in Angostura bitters and brandy.

Champagne can also be substituted with Prosecco, an Italian sparkling wine.

Ingredients:
  • 1 sugar cube for each champagne flute
  • Angostura bitters, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp brandy for each champagne flute
  • 1 x 750ml btl Champagne or Prosecco wine, chilled
Preparation:
  1. Place 1 sugar cube in each Champagne glass.
  2. Drizzle sugar with 5 drops of Angostura bitters and set aside for 5 minutes to soak.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of brandy to each glass and top with Champagne or Prosecco wine.
  4. Serve immediately.
