Valentine’s Day Chocolate Pots

By February 1, 2010

Follow me on:

There are three Valentine's Day principles that I live by: the way to someone's heart is through their stomach; making something is better than buying something; and if I happen to enjoy it too, so much the better.

Fulfilling all these criteria are these chocolate pots with cherries. These desserts are like love potion. The man or woman who consumes them is helpless against the charms of the provider. One spoonful of the rich, velvety chocolate will have them moaning in delight (or screaming out "YES" over and over again in a way which is both amusing for you and discomforting for your neighbors).

The sour cherries, also known as "morello" cherries, add a sweet tartness that add balance to the rich chocolate pots. If you can't get your hands on them, try raspberries instead.
