On Australia Day, Australians around the country and, the world even, will come together to celebrate being Australian.
Australia Day, on January 26, commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain.
While January 26 highlights this specific event, Australia Day celebrations will reflect a more contemporary Australia - its diversity, its achievements, its past, its present and its future.
Towns and cities across the country will host a variety of Australia Day events including barbecues, markets, fairs and fireworks. There will be steaks, sausages, prawns and pies.

This Australia Day, I'll be whipping up an old favorite - the potato pie. Individual pies are filled with delicious ground beef and gravy and covered with a crispy top of golden mashed potato.

What I wouldn’t give for a bite. Guess I’ll just have to make it!
Hi Tyson, yes please do! They rival any store-bought potato pie. Cheers.
