On December 31 I welcomed in the New Year by watching the fireworks showering from the Sydney Harbor Bridge. A spectacular sight indeed.
For a long time I thought about how to bring in 2010. I am hoping for a sweet new year and therefore decided on glazed fruit tartlets. Sweet, buttery shortcrust tarts are filled with creme patisserie and topped with strawberries, mandarins, kiwi fruit, mango, blueberries and raspberries.
They were beautiful - just as I hope 2010 will be for all of you.
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! What an amazing dessert. Can’t wait to try it. Best wishes to you.
Hi Bonnie. Thanks for your well wishes and Happy New Year to you too. Syrie
Happy New Year! The colours on this tart are amazing. They look like jewels! Almost too good to eat.
So attractive and appetizing. Just a great way to usher in the new year.
What about some cheery cherry recipes. They’re in season now in the Antipodes. How about rustling up a cherry cobbler? Or cherry flummery? Look forward to your offerings – maybe something original like a cherry cheesecake with the cream cheese filling mixed in with cherries that have been marinated in a liquer. Or serve with your milk jelly in macerated form…. from a devoted fan
