Month-long celebrations have begun with the launch of the first Sydney International Food Festival.
To whet my appetite I attended the popular Sydney Morning Herald Growers' Market and sampled an array of goodies from smoked meats to cheeses and chocolates.
The biggest highlight of the day was the 'Nose to Tail' BBQ with special guest, chef and author, Fergus Henderson leading a team of some of Sydney's best chefs to prepare sample plates inspired by his recipes.
I was treated to a plate of green eggs and ham. While at first skeptical, my palate was soon dazzled by what was presented before me.
Here are some highlights from the successful launch of the month-long festival.
