Salads for the Season

Monday December 1, 2008

It's hard not to over-indulge during the holiday season when we're surrounded by so much delicious food. In the weeks leading up to Christmas I like to eat small, healthy and low-fat meals in anticipation of the obligatory feasts and parties.

The key to keeping the weight off during the next month is to eat sensibly and be selective about what you consume. Eat smaller portions, especially in the evening, and eat lighter meals such as salads.

To make salads more filling, add a filet of grilled chicken, grilled salmon, or for the vegetarian, slices of avocado, a boiled egg or feta cheese.
